São Paulo – The Economic Activity Index of the Brazilian Central Bank (IBC-Br) was up 1.5% in July from June of this year and 5.28% from July 2013. The figures released by the Central Bank this Friday (12th) are deseasonalized, i.e. adjusted to prevent seasonal variations from affecting their outcome.
According to the Central Bank’s data, from January to July this year, economic activity was up 0.07% from the same period in 2013. In the last 12-month period, the IBC-Br was up 1.14%. The IBC-Br keeps track of economic activity across the three sectors of economy: agriculture, industry and services.
