Rio de Janeiro – The Brazilian Institute of Economics at think tank Fundação Getulio Vargas (Ibre/FGV) reported this Tuesday (30) in Rio de Janeiro that the political scenario drove the Economic Uncertainty Indicator (IIE-Br) up 9.3 points in May to 128.1, from 118.8 points in April.
Economist Pedro Costa Ferreira of Fundação Getúlio Vargas said the hike came after the indicator went down for several straight months. He imputes the shift to the political crisis.
