São Paulo – The Brazilian paper company Klabin posted export revenues of R$ 241 million (US$ 118 million) in quarter three this year, according to figures released by the company this Thursday (25th). Export revenues were up 29% from the same period of last year, which the company ascribed mainly to a more export-friendly exchange rate.
Export volume was down 2% during the period, at 123,000 tonnes. The figure does not include wood. Year-to-date as of late September, the company exported 412,000 tonnes. The main target region was Latin America, which accounted for 44% of foreign sales, followed by Europe, with 25%, Africa, with 6%, and North America, with 3%.
