São Paulo – KPMG is accepting registrations for its trainee program and will select four applicants for an international contest next year in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Registrations are open until January 15th and the global contest will run from April 13th to 16th in the Middle East country.
The KPMG International Case Competition is held annually in one of the countries out of which the company operates. In 2014 it took place in Brazil. According to information from the KPMG press office, people from 26 countries will compete in Dubai. The United Arab Emirates will be the only participating Arab country.
Applicants must have graduated two years ago at the most, or be at least in their fourth semester of studies in Business Administration, Actuarial Sciences, Accountancy, Economics or Computing, Law, Production Engineering, Information Systems or related courses. They must also speak fluent English and be available to work in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
The international contest is a case study in business administration. First, applicants must register for Ace The Case, the national contest. Those who qualify will already be KPMG trainees in Brazil. However, only four of them are representing the country in Dubai. The competition will consist of a test posing challenges designed to mirror a real-life business scenario. Contestants must devise a set of recommendations to the businesses at hand.
