São Paulo – Kuwait announced on Sunday (30) the end of the partial curfew that had been in place for over three months. The curfew had become effective on May 28 and lasted from 6 pm to 6 am to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. It had been preceded by even stricter shelter-in-place orders.
The state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted a Ministry of Health spokesperson as saying during a press conference that cooperation and commitment from institutions and individuals have and will lead to better results being achieved.
Kuwait is rolling out a gradual reopening plan. The Gulf country had 84,636 cases of Covid-19 and 530 deaths, according to the latest numbers available on the World Health Organization (WHO) website.
