São Paulo – On April 26 and 27, 2010, Abu Dhabi will host the 2nd Latin America Mid-East Investors Forum, bringing together companies based in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan that are interested in investing in the Latin American continent.
According to the North American publication LatinFinance, which promotes the event, the forum’s schedule was set "so as to explain to investors how they can benefit from the sustained macroeconomic stability, the improved economic fundamentals, the robust domestic markets and the leading products worldwide that are driving growth in Latin America."
The event will focus on agribusiness, infrastructure and urban planning, metals and mining, oil and energy, energy generation and distribution, and opportunities in the stock market and real estate.
The forum will grant participants an opportunity to engage in individual meetings, electronically scheduled in advance. Investors whose presence has already been confirmed include representatives of the following institutions: Global Special Situation Group, Abu Dhabi Investment Council; Ivestcorp; Beaufort Global Partners; Majlis Investment Management; InvestAD e Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management.
According to LatinFinance, in 2012, the Gulf region will have US$ 3.4 trillion available for investment. In 2007, the figure was US$ 1.7 trillion.
