São Paulo – Libyan ministries have announced the launch of training and professional development programs for women working in the country’s public sector. A memorandum of understanding was signed on Monday (29) by the Ministry of Civil Service and the Ministry of State for Women’s Affairs, according to a report published by Libya’s state-run news agency LANA.
The memorandum was signed by Minister of Civil Service Abdul-Moneim Ibrahim Saleh and Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Randa Gharib. Its objective is to enhance the professional and administrative skills of women working in the public sector and strengthen their leadership capabilities, in line with the government’s policy of investing in human capital and women’s empowerment.
According to information published on the Ministry of Civil Service’s official page and cited by LANA, the agreement is part of the two ministries’ efforts under the “She Is a Leader” project, within the framework of the “Tamkeen” initiative. The program aims to provide training, develop leadership and administrative skills, and strengthen women’s participation in decision-making positions across state institutions.
