São Paulo – Shipping company CMA CGM announced this Tuesday (1) a new nonstop route connecting Morocco and Algeria and the Black Sea. Its Black Sea Med Express service will be launched on the 21st, linking key Black Sea markets such as Turkey, Romania and Ukraine with the two North Africa countries.
The company said in a statement that the goal is to meet growing demand for trade between the two regions. The weekly connection will include Morocco’s Casablanca and Tanger Med ports and Algeria’s Port of Annaba. The route will be served by four vessels with capacity for 17,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent).
Besides the two Arab nations, the ships will make stops at the ports of Odessa, in Ukraine; Constanta, in Romania; Ambarli and Izmir, in Turkey; and Malta.
