São Paulo – The Brazilian stand at the Saudi Agro-Food trade show, which begins on Monday (4th) in Saudi Arabia, is going to feature 13 enterprises and Halal certification organizations. The 135 square-metre space will be organized by company Conceito Brasil in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
Participating companies are: Doux, JBS, Minerva and Heinz, in the beef and chicken industry; dairy company Embaré; animal feed company Guabi; raw mango company Agrodan; trading company Bel International, which operates with soy protein and other products; and investment company Global Forestry. The other exhibiting enterprises operate in Halal certification.
This will be the second time that Brazil participates in the fair. According to information supplied by the Ministry of Agriculture, among Arab countries, Saudi Arabia is the leading market for Brazil. Brazilian agribusiness exports to the Arab country reached nearly US$ 1.2 billion from January to August, representing growth of 16.5% compared with the same period of last year. The main products shipped were poultry and beef, sugar, soy and maize.
The 17th edition of the fair will continue until Thursday (7th). During the period of the event, the Saudi minister of Agriculture, Fahad Abdulrahman Balghunaim, will be in Brazil heading a delegation of 30 people.
