Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Minister Nabil Ammar launched on Thursday (11) in São Paulo a commercial and consular office of the Embassy of Tunisia in Brazil. In his visit to the Arab-Brazilian Chamber and talks to the press, he spoke of Brazil-Tunisia relations, BRICS, and fertilizer and olive oil exports.

Five Tunisian companies will exhibit at APAS Show to take place in São Paulo next week. Tunisia’s ambassador to Brazil, Nabil Lakhal, talked to ANBA on the participation. Arab country will showcase mostly dates and olive oils, products it is internationally renowned for.

In a meeting held in Tunis, World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Region Ferid Belhaj and Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia Fethi Zouhair Nouri talked about the economic situation in the country and the importance of reforms for its growth.

Of the Middle East and North Africa states in a ranking made public by the Brazilian Tourist Board, Morocco is the one that sent the most visitors to Brazil in 2023, followed by Lebanon, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.

Data released by the National Institute of Statistics revealed a 5.28 billion deficit year to date through November. The result represents a drop compared to the last year’s numbers.
