Brasília – The Brazilian trade balance registered a US$ 196 million surplus in the first week of February, with just three working days. The balance is the result of exports of US$ 2.604 billion and imports of R$ 2.408 billion. It was the first positive result this year. The daily average of shipments abroad was US$ 868 million. Imports, in turn, had a daily average of US$ 802.7 million.
In the accumulated result for the year, the trade balance has posted a deficit of US$ 1.095 billion, with US$ 18.746 billion in exports and US$ 19.841 billion in purchases abroad. The figures were disclosed on Monday (06) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
