Exports grew by 30.2% from January to the fourth week of September this year, compared with the same period of last year, and imports rose by 26.2%, considering the average daily business volume.
The information was disclosed by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the 16 working days thus far in September, exports hit US$ 17.8 billion and imports hit US$ 15.9 billion, resulting in a US$ 1.9 billion surplus. Average daily exports were 24.7% higher than in September of last year. Average daily imports grew by 17.9%.
