São Paulo – A conference in Tunisia should discuss investment in the Arab world, mainly in countries that recently lived social protests and government change. The 15th edition of the Conference for Arab Businessman and Investors will focus on theme "Arab Investment under Current Changes" and should take place on Monday (14) and Tuesday (15) at Hotel Le Palace, in the Tunisian capital.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will be represented by CEO Michel Alaby, who will follow the talks. According to the executive, themes to be discussed will include business opportunities in the Arab countries and projects will be presented to investors. The idea is to verify which are the investment niches and then to present them to Brazil.
According to news published in papers in the Arab world, the objective of the conference is to warn Arab investors of the importance of contributing to the recovery of the economies that lived social revolutions, supporting the development of countries and reconstruction. Tunisia, Libya and Egypt recently faced social conflicts and government changes. Syria is also facing similar trouble.
The conference is promoted by the Arab League, the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, in collaboration with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (Utica). The participants should include authorities of chambers of commerce of the Arab nations and abroad, representatives of banks, funds, fostering organisations, intellectuals and businessmen.
