São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will host its ninth free webinar, “Tools for Global Competitiveness,” next Wednesday (1) at 9 am. Discussions will involve the internationalization of companies, planning international operations, and strategies for competitiveness in foreign markets, including certification and traceability of products. Topics will include how to do so in the Arab market.
Speakers will include Diego Bonaldo Coelho, professor at the Superior School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM-SP) and PhD in Administration from the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). Speaking from the United Arab Emirates will be Vishal Pandey, director at Glasgow Consulting, a survey and business consulting firm.
Speakers will also include Rita Froes, Business Development executive at Intertek Brasil, a branch of the British multinational assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company, as well as Nilson Gasconi, Business executive at Brazilian Automation Association (GS1 Brasil), and Rubens Hannun, president at Arab Chamber. Moderating the talks will be Daniella Leite, commercial manager at Arab Chamber.
According to Leite, Coelho will give an overview on the importance of going international and having a plan and a strategy outlined for competitiveness in foreign markets. “Which tools the companies can use to be more competitive compared to their competitors,” she explains about the professor’s talk.
Pandey will address this scenario regarding the Arab world specifically. He will show how to know a market and its customers and the key aspects in choosing products and negotiating with the Arabs to take into account in order to be successful. “What the companies must look into to create more value, a higher value for the Arabs,” she explained.
Froes will address the product security as a productivity tool. She will talk about the importance of product certification to assure quality. Gasconi will talk about traceability. “You can learn about the life of a product since its production until it arrives at the hands of the end customer by using QR codes or bar codes. These new technologies are being added to create value, give more confidence to the customer,” Leite said.
Arab Chamber president Rubens Hannun will give the entity’s view on global competitiveness and the Arab market. After the lectures, participants will be allowed to ask questions.
This webinar is part of a series of special meetings that the Arab Chamber has hosted since the start of the pandemic to discuss urgent, relevant issues regarding Brazil-Arab relations. Each conference has been attended by around 800 people from Brazil and elsewhere. Registration is open. Simultaneous interpretation into Portuguese and English will be available.
