São Francisco Valley: paradise of grapes and wine
The region represents 23% of Brazilian production of wines and is one of the favourite habitats of grapes. There, the fruit grows with help from a strong ally: the dry climate. In the São Francisco Valley it almost never rains. The grapes grow practically all year round and without the risk of cracking or going sour. In spite of the grape growing industry being recent, the Valley already produces wines that have been awarded international prizes.
