Presently, more than 14,000 enterprises practise Fair and Ethical Trade in Brazil. A previously unpublished survey launched by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) points to the diversity of local initiatives and the rising consumption in the large urban centres as the reasons for the growth of the system in the country.
