Brasília – The United States Department of Commerce named the three Brazilian shrimp export companies that will be investigated in antidumping proceedings. Netuno, Cida, and Norte Pesca, the companies audited in Brazil, will each be required to answer a 200-page questionnaire, intended to analyze the company, the domestic and export market, and production costs.
The three companies are responsible for around 30% of Brazilian shrimp exports to the US. Last year, of the 58.4 thousand tons of shrimp sold abroad, approximately 35% (21.3 thousand tons) went to the American market.
