São Paulo – Brazilian company Master Power, a manufacturer of turbo devices for vehicles, has been exporting to Arab countries for over ten years, and is planning to expand its business in those markets in the next few years, especially in Saudi Arabia, the most recent market it got into.
Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and United Arab Emirates are the Arab countries to which Master Power sells directly. Indirectly, via the UAE, the company also sells to Yemen and Oman, and used to sell to Syria as well.
In a phone interview to ANBA, the foreign trade coordinator, Gustavo Borghetti, said that Iran, the Persian country in the Middle East, is his main foreign client, accounting for 20% of the total exported. Egypt comes in fifth, behind Argentina, Colombia and Russia. Together, the Arab countries account for 15% of the company’s exports, with exports, to 52 countries, totaling 30% of the company’s output.
“We have plans to increase sales to the Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, our most recent market. Business has been growing a lot in the UAE, Iraq and Egypt in the last few years, and all Arab countries are important to our exports, in fact, we have been going, in the last few years, to the trade expo Automechanika, in Dubai, UAE, one of the region’s main events of the sector,” said Borghetti, who’s the grandson of the company’s founder, Nelson Borghetti.
Master Power’s deals are signed with the assistance of Lipaco, a trading company that negotiates deals, especially between Brazilian and Arab companies.
A market leader in Brazil, Master Power has representatives in almost all states, except in Amazonas, Roraima and Amapá. The company is located in São Marcos, Rio Grande do Sul, and was founded 52 years ago as a car shop; in the mid-1970s it began to manufacture turbos, accessories that reduce emissions, improve power and optimize fuel efficiency.
