Company Santa Luzia, of frames and skirting boards, closed a sale to a construction company in the Emirates one day prior to the opening of the building sector fair, which began today, in Dubai.

The smallest of the seven United Arab Emirates is interested in establishing partnerships with Brazilian enterprises. A delegation of businessmen was there this Sunday (22nd) seeking opportunities.

Two building sector companies have offices in the Emirates and several projects in the country. The two presented themselves this Sunday in the Arab Brazilian Chamber construction seminar.

Trading company DXB, which specializes in the Arab market, is going to open a salesroom of Brazilian products in the Saudi capital. Food and building material are among the main items.

The suggestion is by prime minister Barhan Salek. He wants an event with products from the country in Erbil, in 2010. The region, located in northern Iraq, is interested in food and building material.

The samples of safety shoes manufacturer Bompel, from the state of Paraná, are attracting attention at the Brazilian stand in the DBX Sulaimaniyah International Tradeshow, in Kurdistan.

The region, in north Iraq, has US$ 30 billion in infrastructure works scheduled for the next five years. The Arab Brazilian Chamber signed a deal with a local organization to increase trade.

The prime minister, Nader Dahabi, discussed the matter with Arab Brazilian Chamber president Salim Schahin on Wednesday. Among the areas of interest are aviation, agriculture and infrastructure.
