FAAP is hosting a lecture cycle in São Paulo with one of the foremost specialists in Egyptian archaeology in Brazil, Antonio Brancaglion Junior. Classes will be taught on Saturdays from September to November.

After 53 years in Brazil, professor Helmi Nasr will go back to his homeland. The translator of the Koran from Arabic into Portuguese, he feels his mission is accomplished. ‘I return to Cairo at peace.’

The city welcomed last week a team of the International Theatre Institute headed by its president, the Arab Mohammed Saif Al-Afkham, to prepare for the congress, which will receive artists from several parts of the world in 2016.

The artist Chantal Mailhac will tell stories of romance from Lebanon, Africa, Europe and other parts of the world on June 12th in São Paulo. Viewers will experience Arab ambience, food and music.
