Brazil’s Agriculture minister Neri Geller is optimistic about the prospects of Egypt resuming importing beef from Mato Grosso state. He met with Egyptian president El-Sisi and believes trade will soar.

Agriculture minister Neri Gueller is leading a delegation of the beef and poultry sectors to try to resume exports from the state of Mato Grosso and expand markets. The group will visit the Arab country and also Iran.
Volume and revenue increased in the period due to the increase in poultry exports to large consumer markets, such as Saudi Arabia. Revenue is the highest ever for the month.
The new Gross Agriculture and Livestock Production Value estimate for 2014 has been revised down by 1.18% to US$ 193.6 billion.
