São Paulo – Coffee exports from Brazil grossed US$ 594.5 million in November, up 55% from November 2013, according to information released this Monday (8th) by the Brazilian Coffee Exporter Council (CeCafé). The volume shipped also increased, though by a lower rate, by 11.7% to 3 million bags.
Year-to-date through November, 33.05 million bags were shipped, up 15.3% from the comparable year-ago period. Revenues remained within the expected range and climbed from US$ 4.8 billion to US$ 5.920 billion, up 23.5%. CeCafé expects coffee exports to reach an all-time high at 36 million bags in 2014.
Year-to-date through November, the volume of coffee shipped to Arab countries was 1.2 million bags, down 6% from the comparable period in 2013. Revenues stood at US$ 179 million, a decline from 2013’s US$ 202 million.
