The region’s share in the Brazilian meat company’s foreign sales increased from 17.3% to 20%. Overall, revenues from meat shipments were up 19.4%.

Sector organization Unica’s projection shows a drop of 16.94 million tonnes in the milling of the 2014/2015 crop in relation to the previous one. Drought will cause the drop in productivity.

Revenues from foreign sales to Arab countries declined in January. The two leading importing countries in the region, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, cut down their purchases. Overall, the top-selling product was sugar.
