São Paulo – The General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab Countries will organize, on September 27 and 28, in Amman, Jordan, the Arab-African Economic Forum, under the slogan “The Arab World and Africa: Broad Prospects for Successful Economic and Investment Relations.”
According to the General Union, the purpose of the conference is to strengthen economic, commercial and cultural ties between both regions. The expansion in the number of joint projects, bilateral trade and financial cooperation is considered a strategic priority by the parts.
The Union adds that Africa is an important market for the Arab countries’ products and investments. On the other hand, the Arab world is a bloc that is open to receive goods and investments from the African continent.
According to the General Union, the forum will be attended by the ministers of finance from Arab and African countries, chambers of commerce, transportation and logistics companies, exporters and importers from several sectors, banks and other financial institutions, Arab economic organizations, investment promotion agencies and economic and financial experts.
The topics to be discussed are: “Arab-African partnership, a sustainable partnership for growth and better integration”; Bilateral trade between Arab and African States and the means to achieve it”; “Investment opportunities in productive sectors: industry, energy, services and agriculture”; “The role of financial institutions in promoting Arab-African trade and mutual investment”; “Improvement of infrastructure and means of transport and logistics for the promotion and development of trade”; and “Successful investments models to address the Arab world and Africa”.
The event is co-organized by the Union of Arab Chambers, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture (UACCIAP) and event organizer group Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal.
The General Union gathers chambers of commerce from the Arab world and other regions, such as the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
