São Paulo – In July, 306,721 vehicles were sold in Brazil, up 15.31% over the same month of last year, according to data shown this Wednesday (1) by the Automotive Vehicles Distribution National Federation (FENABRAVE). The data includes cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, road implements and other vehicles.
If considered only cars and light commercial vehicles, 208,551 units were sold last month, an increase of 16.63% over July 2017.
From January to July, 1,998,245 vehicles were sold in the country, up 12.81% over last year’s first seven months. Including only cars and light commercial vehicles, 1,335,746 units were sold, an increase of 14.16% in the same comparison.
“July was a very positive month,” said FENABRAVE’s president, Alarico Assumpção Júnior, in a statement. He added that the market has reacted positively to factors such as the decline in non-payment rates and the credit growth.
