Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the sum of all goods and services produced by the country, ended Q2 with an increase of 0.2% in comparison to Q1, in the inflation-adjusted series. In comparison to 2016’s Q2, the increase was of 0.3%. The data is part of the survey released this Friday (1) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
With the result, the GDP over the last four quarter continues to present a decline of 1.4% over the previously four quarters. In the year’s first half, the growth was zero in comparison to 2016’s first half. In current values, 2017’s Q2 GDP reached BRL 1.639 trillion.
