São Paulo – Brazilian business owners and executives are more positive about the national economy and politics in 2017, and confidence is going up. Eighty-four percent of 326 respondents in a poll by the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) believe political and economic uncertainty will wane this year, and that stability will increase.
The vast majority (95%) also said they believe their businesses’ results will be positive in 2017. For 88% of respondents, there will be a rebound; 7% are expecting significant growth over 2016; and 5% believe results will be worse than last year’s.
