The Robótica – International Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Fair will begin tomorrow in the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo, featuring new products for the industrial sector and attractions for the general public. An adjuvant, developed by the institution itself, will be used to increase the immunizing power of the vaccine by four times, expanding its efficiency and production capacity, as well as reducing costs. The idea is to answer to Brazil, Latin America and other developing countries.

The company invited university students from 25 different countries, including Brazil, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, to create software based on the Cell/B.E. processor. The Cell/B.E. is used in videogames such as the Xbox-360, and IBM wants students to find new uses for it. The deadline is July 05.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced today (08), in the Brazilian capital Brasília, the creation of a national policy for biotechnology. Five ministries and representatives of the academic and private sectors will work for Brazil to become the global leader in the sector in 10 to 15 years.
