Dubai – The New Rak Group, a company headquartered in Ras Al Khaimah, signed a distribution agreement with the Carreteiro group, from Rio de Janeiro, for the distribution of its products in the emirate.
The Arab group should distribute 47 products made by the Brazilian company, like rice, soluble coffee, olives, beans, chickpeas and popcorn maize, among others. Today (23), Mohammed Al Qassimi, CEO of the Arab company, visited the Carreteiro stand at Gulfood, a fair in the food sector in Dubai, in the company of two importers of foods, possible buyers of the Brazilian product.
“I believe in the closing of deals in the short term. It may be to some company recommended by him,” said Lene Carneiro, export manager at Carreteiro group.
One of the businessmen taken by Al Qassimi is a representative of the Al Badeel company who said he was also interested in taking Brazilian food to Algeria.
This is the first deal closed by Carreteiro with New Rak Group. However, Lene said that Al Qassimi already knew the company products and prices.
Representatives of the Brazilian company are going to participate in a dinner in Ras Al Khaimah this evening, where further details of the distribution agreement should be discussed.
