According to the first reports, the cemetery was a two-story construction and is currently under water. The tombs identified were not turned to pharaohs and their families.
The cemetery was located during a dig in Al Qabari. At the site, the construction of an office building had been forecasted. The works were suspended at the order of the Ministry of State for Antiquities until investigations have been concluded.
