São Paulo – The Iraq Agro-Food 2011 fair will be held from November 21st to 24th in the city of Erbil, in the Iraqi Kurdistan. The event is focused on agricultural technology, food, food processing and packaging. The last edition featured 350 exhibitors from 17 countries, and attracted 18,000 visitors from 25 countries.
There will be exhibitors of more than 70 types of products and services, such as fertilizers, cold storage, pesticides, irrigation, greenhouses, seeds, veterinary products, cleaning equipment, refrigeration machinery, dairy products and others.
According to the event’s website, efforts to rebuild Iraq have led to massive investment in all sectors of the country’s economy. The 2011 budget alone forecasted public spending of US$ 86.4 billion. Over the next ten years, the country is expecting US$ 200 billion in foreign investment.
