São Paulo – The government of Iraq should start a tender for construction of a residential complex in Al Mijar Al Kabir, in Missan, in the southeast of the country. The State Housing Commission is inviting companies interested in the project to prequalify alongside the organisation up to March 19th, according to a statement disclosed by the commercial office of the Iraqi embassy in Brasília.
The project forecasts the construction of 40 three-story buildings with a total of 480 apartments, or 12 per building, and four per floor.
Also forecasted is construction of the entire infrastructure, buildings and space for community use in the condominium, like schools, a commercial complex, gymnasium, management offices, mosque, accommodation for security, telephone centre, water and electricity supply installations, construction of streets, parking and landscaping.
Manifestation of interest, according to the press statement, may be presented by companies or consortia and must be in Arabic. Beforehand, those interested must buy the call to tender at the Commission’s offices, in Baghdad (see address below), by March 14th. The price is 1.5 million Iraqi dinars (US$ 1,287.55 at current exchange rates). The purchase may be done through an attorney.
The tender itself will be divided into two parts, the first for presentation of the technical proposals and the second for presentation of prices.
