São Paulo – Jordan wants to attract more tourists from Brazil. To that end, the Jordan Tourism Board has signed a partnership deal with the Brazilian company Interamerican Network to promote its tourist destinations among operators and end consumers in the country.
“We are going to show what Jordan has got. We will participate in the leading tourism industry fairs, especially in São Paulo, which concentrates approximately 45% of all Brazilian tour operators,” says Maurício Mateus, who is in charge of trader relations at Interamerican. The company will carry out marketing actions in Brazil and provide support for operators to set up their travel routes in the Arab country.
According to Mateus, Interamerican will work to promote Jordan as a travel option for Brazilians. “We want it to spring to mind when the time comes for Brazilians to go on holiday,” he claims.
According to the trader, the Brazilian public still lacks knowledge on the tourist attractions of Jordan. As an example, he mentions the possibilities of doing adventure tourism and exploring the cuisine, archaeology and fashion attractions.
Another point highlighted by Mateus is religious tourism. “We are going to take advantage of the image of the Holy Land,” he says. Jordan comprises part of the River Jordan, where Jesus Christ was baptized. Interamerican will also be responsible for communicating these promotional actions to the press.
Interamerican Network is a Marketing and Public Relations agency that focuses on the travel and tourism segment. The company’s services include devising strategic plans, carrying out promotional actions and events, launching products and others. Emirates Airline is one of the company’s clients.
