São Paulo – Palm Fountain, at the Palm Jumeirah island, is the newest attraction in Dubai, UAE. Launched this Thursday (22), it has gone on the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest in the world. The previous record-holder was the Dubai Mall fountain, Gulf News and the government of Dubai reported.
The multicolored Palm Fountain spans 1,300 square meters of oceanwater on the palm-shaped island on the Gulf sea. Its waters rise as high as 105 meters during shows, and its lighting rig comprises over 3,000 LED lamps.
Five different shows will take place each day, from 7 pm to midnight, to the sound of popular tunes including Khaleeji, pop, classic, and international. The shows last three minutes each, and they happen at 30-minute intervals.
Palm Fountain is set in the ocean, facing the East and West promenade of The Pointe. The attraction is free of charge and face coverings are mandatory.
