São Paulo – Next year’s edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Latin America will be held in São Paulo from March 13 to 15. The protocol of intentions was signed this Monday (6) by the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, Marcos Pereira, by São Paulo state governor, Geraldo Alckmin, by the city’s mayor, João Dória, and by WEF director, Marisol de Barillas.
With Industry 4.0 as the main topic, which will also be the basis for the meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the Latin America edition of the Forum returns to Brazil after seven years – in 2011 it was held in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The program will include over 50 sessions, with debates involving the national and regional levels, designed to allow the heads of state to talk about strategic issues.
This year the WEF Latin America was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and gathered over one thousand business owners, foreign ministers, high-level government officials and international organizations during the event’s three days.
