São Paulo – The Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee (CRE) approved this Thursday (27th) the creation of the Brazil-Morocco and Brazil-Georgia parliamentary groups. According to information from Agência Senado, the project by senator Marcelo Crivella (PRB-RJ) created the group Brazil-Morocco to develop bilateral relations between Congress representatives from both countries.
This group should promote reciprocal visits, conferences, seminars and studies. These events will cover political, social, legal, scientific, environmental, economic and educational topics, among others.
The project’s rapporteur, senator Cristóvão Buarque (PDT-DF), said that Morocco is a “key country” in Africa, since it has an active foreign policy and an influence over the Arab world.
