9.3 million pairs were exported in the eighth month of the year, generating a 28.2% increase in volume and 34.9% in revenue, totaling USD 78 million. No Arab country is among the top 20 destinations for Brazilian footwear from January to August.

In the first half of 2021, footwear exports from Brazil reached 57 million pairs, down just 0.3% from 2019, Abicalçados reported.
