Brasília – Brazilian exports in the first six business days this year totalled US$ 2.958 billion and imports, US$ 2.970 billion, resulting in a deficit of US$ 12 million. The figures were disclosed today (12) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
This year, there has been a reduction of 18.3% in average daily exports in comparison with the first days of January 2008. In the first business day of the year, Friday (02), however, exports totalled US$ 403 million and imports, US$ 273 million. Last week, from January 5 to 11, exports totalled US$ 2.555 billion and imports, US$ 2.697 billion.
