Brasília – The Brazilian trade balance registered a surplus of US$ 429 million in the first week of November, in which there were four working days, informed today (8) the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the period, exports totalled US$ 3.205 billion and imports reached US$ 2.776 billion.
From January to the first week of November, the trade surplus totalled US$ 15.050 billion, a reduction of 32.7% over the same period in 2009 (US$ 22.348 billion).
Exports up to early November totalled US$ 166.514 billion, whereas imports totalled US$ 151.464 billion.
Expectations of analysts in the financial market approached by the Central Bank are for the trade surplus to reach US$ 16 billion this year and drop to US$ 8 billion in 2011.
