São Paulo – Brazil should end the year receiving 5.7 million foreign tourists, with information disclosed on Thursday (13) by Embratur. The figure, considered record, already exceeds the volume of visitors received in 2011 by 300,000.
According to forecasts by the Embratur, Brazil should also have record inflow of tourism funds generated by tourism and in the quantity of international events hosted.
In 2013, Embratur should prioritise actions for tourist promotion in Latin America, focussing on visitors to events like the Confederations Cup, the World Youth Day and the World Cup.
