São Paulo – The security software by Digifort, a company based in São Caetano do Sul, Greater São Paulo, arrived four years ago in the Arab countries through a partnership with an Australian company. Today, Digifort’s software are used by private companies and government bodies in ten countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
“Monthly, we offer services to around 50 to 70 clients in the Middle East”, explains Carlos Bonilha, Digifort’s president. The good demand in the region took the company to open a business office in Dubai around one year ago. “It’s an office for support and sales. We opened it especially for technical support, to attend to the whole region”, says the businessman.
Digifort’s software are made in Brazil and sent to Dubai. Besides the United Arab Emirates, the software by the São Paulo state-based company go to Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait and Lebanon. “We just won a bidding to install more than one thousand cameras in a convention center in Abu Dhabi”, reveal the executive.
Bonilha says that among the software exported to the Arabs are systems of management, recording, monitoring and visualization of IP (digital) and analog cameras ; systems of intelligent video analytics, which are capable of analyzing and detecting events in the images, such as illegal parking, objects left or removed from places, etc.; and systems of license plate recognition.
Currently, Digifort exports to 110 countries and its software are built in 18 languages, such as Russian, Czech, Dutch and Thai. For the Arab countries, the software are sold in English. “If they ask for Arabic, it’s possible for us to develop them”, says Bonilha.
According to the executive, the company ships 40% of its output to the global market. The main destinations for the software are Australia and New Zealand. The company also has a strong market presence in Europe and South America, he says.
To Bonilha, it’s possible to grow even more abroad. “We have an increasing interest in the external market. Thus, we just opened an office in the United States and, this week, we will open another in Mexico. The Arab regions also presents a strong growth”, he assesses.
Besides the offices aforementioned, Digifort has representations in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Argentina and Colombia. Founded 15 years ago, Digifort has 22 employees in Brazil.
