São Paulo – On October 21st and 22nd, in Dubai, the first edition of the Mobile 360-Middle East conference will take place, bringing together mobile operators and suppliers of mobile technology in the Middle East and North Africa. The event is promoted by GSMA, the company that organizes the Mobile World Congress, the main mobile telecommunications event in the world.
The agenda of the event should cover three great themes: mobile broad band, connected living and the social and economic benefits of mobility. “Mobile 360-Middle East has been designed to reflect the specific interests and concerns of mobile operators and other ecosystem players in the Middle East and North Africa,” said Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer at GSMA, in a press release.
“This focused approach will provide essential insights into the latest technological developments, market opportunities and next-generation services shaping mobile communications in the region, which is one of the fastest growing markets globally,” he added.
Among the speakers who have already confirmed presence in the event are Anne Bouverot, general director at GSMA, Anders Lindblad, regional president at Ericsson in the Middle East, Ahmad Abdul Karim Julfar, CEO at Etisalat, Bob Cai, Marketing Vice-President for Wireless Networks at Huawei, and Nasser Marafih, CEO at Ooredoo.
The event should also include an exclusive leadership forum for C-level executives. It will focus on themes like investment in mobile broad band and socio-economic growth in the Arab nations. Ministers and representatives of sector regulators from countries in the Middle East and Africa should also participate in the forum of leaders.
