São Paulo – The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of the GCC Chambers of Commerce are going to promote the Gulf Businesswomen Forum, from December 16th to 18th, at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, in Muskat, the capital of Oman. This information was disclosed by Oman News Agency, the news agency of the government of the Arab country.
The forum should discuss matters like economic development, with the objective of finding solutions to the challenges faced by businesswomen of the countries of the GCC, the economic bloc that includes Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman. The meeting should also cover the main characteristics of women of the Gulf.
Among the themes to be discussed at the forum are the position of businesswomen from the Gulf in economic development of the region, the part played by education and training in greater participation of Gulf women in growth of the economy and also the operation of business organisations and chambers of the region in promoting financial progress of the countries of the GCC.
The event should also cover the economic and social impact of women on the labour market, on economic laws and legislation in general. The participants should also discuss the possibility of establishing independent organisations for businesswomen in each country of the GCC and the establishment of a regional authority to coordinate them.
