São Paulo – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has made US$ 2.3 million available to the Comoro Islands via a line of credit with special conditions for poor countries.
According to a press statement released by the Fund last Monday (17th), this instalment of the loan has been made available once the IMF technicians came to the conclusion that the country is committed to developing its economy.
After this US$ 2.3 million disbursement, the Comoros have received approximately US$ 15.44 million, out of a total of roughly US$ 20 million to which the country is entitled.
