São Paulo – The Tasweek Real Estate Marketing & Development company is going to build a hospital city in Morocco. The Marrakech Health Care City, a US$ 40 million project, had its cornerstone laid last week, according to the Emirates News Agency (Wam).
The complex will be the largest healthcare and tourism project in Morocco and should be completed in 24 months. The buildings will cover an area of up to 21,000 square metres and will include a hospital with 160 beds, a luxury hotel with 40 rooms, 56 residential apartments, gardens, and a pool.
The hospital should receive approximately 5,000 patients per year. With the complex’s infrastructure, the company intends to attract patients’ families and friends to stay at the hotel during treatment.
According to Tasweek CEO Masood Al-Awar, the choice of Morocco to host the complex was based on the natural attractions and tourist appeal of Marrakech, which is located in the north of the country, as well as the fact that there are highly qualified physicians and employees in the city.
