São Paulo – The United Arab Emirates’ Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), in the United Arab Emirates, has launched Sheraa Membership, a new membership program for entrepreneurs that provides ongoing access to mentorship, funding opportunities, strategic networks, and ecosystem resources at every stage of a company’s growth journey.
Applications are now open to entrepreneurs of all nationalities interested in establishing or expanding their businesses in Sharjah. Candidates can apply through the Sheraa website at any time. According to state news agency WAM, the program aims to help launch more than 50 youth-led companies and create 1,000 jobs by 2030.
The initiative is part of Sheraa’s 2030 strategy, which aims to support 1,000 startups and facilitate AED 50 million (USD 13.6 million at the current exchange rate) in business opportunities for companies based in Sharjah.
According to WAM, Sheraa Membership brings the entrepreneurship support ecosystem together on a single integrated platform. Through tailored programs, members receive expert guidance, community connections, growth opportunities, and resources that support them from idea validation through business expansion.
The program is structured in sequential stages, each with its own entry and exit criteria. It is built around three support pillars. The first offers discounts on business licensing and coworking facilities to help entrepreneurs establish operations in Sharjah, among other business setup services. The second focuses on knowledge development, while the third connects entrepreneurs with the business ecosystem, including investors and platforms.
“Sheraa Membership is, at its core, a commitment to the founder. Every entrepreneur who joins Sheraa gains access not only to a program but to a sustained partnership that grows with them at every stage, from their first idea through to business scale,” said Sheraa CEO Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi.
According to Al Nuaimi, Sheraa aims to empower founders to build resilient businesses that contribute to Sharjah’s economy.
The program was announced during a gathering of founders and ecosystem stakeholders at Sheraa’s headquarters in the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK). The event featured the Sheraa Founders Roundtable, bringing together entrepreneurs from the Sheraa community to discuss the role of community in scaling businesses and share their experiences of growing their ventures within the Sheraa ecosystem.
