Brasília – The trade balance of Brazil presented a surplus of US$ 806 million in the third week, as a result of US$ 4.075 billion in exports and US$ 3.269 billion in imports, according to figures disclosed today (21) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the previous week, the trade balance had presented a deficit of US$ 166 million.
The accumulated result for the three weeks of the month was US$ 1.785 billion positive, with exports of US$ 11.044 billion and imports of US$ 9.259 billion.
From January to the third week of June, exports totalled US$ 83.138 billion and imports, US$ 75.744 billion. With this, the trade surplus in the period was US$ 7.394 billion, 40.2% less than that registered in the same period in 2009 (US$ 12.379 billion).
