São Paulo – The international professional beauty fair, Beauty Fair, should take place from September 7th to 10th, in São Paulo, and should attract importers from several regions of the world. According to information disclosed by the organizers, buyers should come from the United States, Mexico, England, Italy, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Japan, China and South Korea, as well as from Africa and South America. In last year’s edition, the fair received importers from Dubai.
Among Brazilians and foreigners, the fair forecasts the presence of 140,000 visitors, which means a greater number of visitors as against last year, when 138,000 people were received. The forecast of organizers is for the Beauty Fair to generate R$ 450 million in business, as against R$ 430 million in the previous edition. The number of brands to be exhibited is 1,000, the same as in 2012, in sectors like make-up, perfumery, manicure and aesthetics, among others.
Apart from importers, the fair should also receive prominent international professionals in the beauty market, like body aesthetics specialist and masseur Gaelle Le Corre, from Switzerland, as well as celebrity make-up artist Quinn Murphy, from the United States, and visagist and make-up artist Maggie Anselmo, from Italy. They should give talks about their work. There should also be foreign exhibitors, and countries like China and the United States will have their own pavilions.
The fair should take place at Expo Center Norte, in an area of 82,000 square meters. According to the organizers, Beauty Fair is currently the most important cosmetics, beauty and well-being event in the Americas. Visitors range from professionals in the beauty area, like make-up artists, manicure professionals and hairdressers, to traders like importers, distributors, representatives of chemists and hypermarkets, among others.
Apart from the exhibition itself, there should be an aesthetics congress, to show the new international techniques, a professional workshop, showing tendencies in haircuts and hairstyles, and training sessions for manicures and waxers. A beauty business retail forum, promoted by consultancy company Gouvêa de Souza, should cover the habits of beauty product consumers. There should also be business workshops and a forum curated by the Centre for Excellence in Retail, under the Getúlio Vargas Foundation.
