São Paulo – Brazilian shoe brand Carmen Steffens plans to open shops in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The information was disclosed by the company founder, Mario Spaniol, in an interview to site iG.
According to Spaniol, the shops in the Emirates will cover 300 square meters and will sell “top of the line” products, including shoes that cost R$ 399 (US$ 200) to R$ 499 (US$ 250) and handbags from R$ 800 (US$ 400) to R$ 1,500 (US$ 750) “in leather and even gold plated” said the businessman to the site.
Carmen Steffens already has a shop in Jordan and, according to iG, also plans to open at last five shops in Saudi Arabia in coming years. When sought by ANBA, the company gave no further detail about plans in the region.
