The Brazilian industry of medical, hospital, and dental equipment wants to increase its sales to the Arab market by 35%. Last year, revenues from Brazilian exports of these products totalled US$ 441.8 million. Approximately 30% of this amount went to Arab countries. In 2007, total sector exports should grow by approximately 20%.

The value was reached in the first quarter of the year and is almost 20% greater than that registered in the same period in 2006. In March alone, sales to the region reached US$ 597 million, an increase of 24%. Shipments to the Arab world continue rising above the national average.
